Evangelical Lutheran Worship
Our Evangelical Lutheran Worship service is held every Sunday at 9:45 am. This service features a liturgical style of worship, along with special music performed by members of our congregation. The service starts with our renewal of baptism and forgiveness and our gathering hymn, which is followed by our lessons. During the reading of the lessons, the children of our congregation members and guests are invited to step out for Children's Church. After the reading of the Lessons, our presiding minister will preach to the congregation, providing a more in depth explanation of our lessons and how they apply to our daily lives both in and outside of the church. After this, the children return from Children's Church, we sing our Hymn of the Day, and the service continues with the Offering. During this time, special music is usually played. During the Fall our Choir, led by our Minister of Music, Barbara Woellner, performs regularly. Our Hand Bell Choir, directed by our organist Wendy Roth, also performs occasionally. The Offering is followed by the Meal, which includes The Lord's Prayer and Holy Communion. All are invited to partake in communion, as we take Communion at the Lord's Table, not Grace Lutheran Church's table. Following Communion, we have the final Blessing, our Sending Hymn, and the Passing of the Peace. Then we re-enter the outside world to continue our mission and ministry to our community. There is a "Cookie Cart" available after worship on most Sundays.
